If you haven’t ready My Plexus Story yet, please start there 🙂 I go into a little more detail of how I was diagnosed with MTHFR C677T, the problems it has caused throughout my life and how I finally found a solution. I’m constantly looking for better, healthier alternatives and/or supplements to help me battle this genetic mutation and it’s side effects (autoimmune diseases).
I’m only a couple years into researching this genetic mutation…if only I could go back!! I’ve missed so much of my life with my daughter and husband because of depression, constant fatigue, migraines etc etc. Thankfully I’m getting better every day and I can say that for the last 2 years I have totally been present in our every day lives. The feeling of watching your life go by without you is awful! I’m 41 years old and just now able to mentally and emotionally be a part of life and ENJOY life! If you feel like you’re on the outside looking in…you aren’t alone but there are answers!!
The first thing I started with was my diet…no more enriched foods, no processed foods and I knew I needed to get my gut healthy and get the toxins out of my body. From what I understand, the synthetic folic acid that I’ve been taking into my body my whole life, was poisoning my body by acting as a toxin. I feel so much better and I’m continuing to get healthier by adding Plexus TriPlex to my daily routine. I do promote these products, because I use them daily (have used them since Sept. 2015!) and because of my results, well, I’d love to help others get healthy and actually love living life again!
Quite a few of the posts on my blog will be recipes that I adjust to this way of life. I’ll either replace the flour and/or enriched products in recipes, or I’ll talk about specific products you can find in grocery stores or on Amazon. It’s absolutely a learning experience and I’ve learned to quickly read labels and I’m learning to recognize my “go-to” items at my local grocery store.
So, what exactly is MTHFR c677t???
Most of the information I’ve found has come from Dr. Ben Lynch. His research and information can be overwhelming but take your time…it’s really a great source! I feel I’ve barely scratched the surface of information available about this mutation, the health effects and ways to counteract these mutations. I’ll add a link to his site…I don’t want to copy/paste info 🙂

A blog that I recently began following also references Dr Lynch and his findings…
MTHFR Gene Mutations: A Beginner’s Guide
Along with a change in my diet, I do love the Plexus products that I take daily. I believe they’ve helped me get my mental and emotional health back by first starting with Gut Health and then by my adding the Methylated XFactor vitamins and Plant-Based Omega vitamins.
I hope this post helps someone who may be recently diagnosed with this genetic mutation, trying to find answers and/or knows someone who may benefit from this information.
I’d love for you to follow along on this journey with me 🙂 Enjoy the recipes that I post!
My hope is to provide encouragement to someone in need.
Happiness. Thankful. Blessed beyond measure.
