Green Beans. Tons of flavor. Quick prep work…not much more to say!
Here we go…
I absolutely love my Le Creuset Cast-Iron French (Dutch) Oven, Marseille and love any excuse to cook with it!
Start with a large pot or a dutch oven…add 1 Tbsp olive oil and 2-3 strips bacon, chopped. Heat to medium, cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add 1/2 of an onion, quartered and 2 red potatoes, also quartered. Cook and stir 4-5 minutes.
Add green beans to fill pot 1/2-3/4 full.
Add water to cover green beans. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer.
Place lid on pot and walk away 🙂
Cook/Simmer green beans 2-3 hours (I simmer mine all day)…then season with salt and pepper to taste. Yum!
Serve with Parmesan Breaded Pork Chops and Creamiest Mashed Potatoes
